Natasha Campbell-McBride sieht einen engen Zusammenhang zwischen Ern\u00e4hrung, Darmgesundheit und neurologischen St\u00f6rungen und bezeichnet diesen Effekt als \u201eDarm-Psyche-Syndrom\u201c. Die von Campbell-McBride entwickelte GAPS-Di\u00e4t richtet sich deshalb direkt an Menschen mit Autismus, ADHS, Konzentrationsschwierigkeiten und Depressionen. Mithilfe einer speziellen Ern\u00e4hrungsweise wird die Darmflora wieder normalisiert und viele psychische Krankheiten k\u00f6nnen geheilt werden.
